SyncStream Software (“we”, “us”, “our”) builds the Lobster app and operates uselobster.app. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.
When you join our waitlist you provide your name and email address.
When you use the Lobster mobile app you may provide fitness data such as body measurements, progress photos, and workout logs. This data is stored in the cloud and you can delete it at any time from within the app.
When you visit uselobster.app we may collect standard usage data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is used for security and to keep the service running reliably.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We work with third-party service providers to operate our infrastructure, process payments, and protect against abuse. These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their specific function and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
Our website uses a bot-protection service to distinguish human visitors from automated bots. This service may process your IP address and browser signals to make that determination. No user account or personal profile is created as part of this process.
We keep your waitlist entry (name & email) until you ask us to delete it, or until 12 months after the Lobster app launches — whichever comes first.
Data you create inside the Lobster app is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual entries or your entire account at any time from within the app, and we will remove that data from our systems promptly.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to withdraw consent or object to certain types of processing at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@uselobster.app. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU/EEA and believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Lobster is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will notify waitlist members by email.
